Have had my Epic for a week now and absolutely love it! My last 3 phones have been Samsungs and I never had a problem with any of them. My daughter has the Evo and i'll take the Epic over the Evo anytime.

Hi Everyone, 
I just bought my first Android phone and I can't believe it, but I just dumped my Bold 9650 for an Epic 4G, which should be here next week.
I've been BB user for years and my only concern is with the battery life even with the Gingerbread update. I've read it's still not up to par.
What's your opinion? I'm keeping my BB just in case, but will rooting the phone help and is it easy to do?
