Since I didn't see a specific location for this, I figured I would start one since I've got a couple of issues since the update that i'm sure everyone here can resolve (or that other people are having problems with also).

1. Where is the setting to keep the screen turned on when you are charging?

2. I've been waiting for this update so that I can get my work emails (exchange) on my phone.  First thing I did after the update (and hard reset) was to get my work email up and running. Works great!  Second thing I did was to get my personal (POP) email up and running. Entered my information and got the message 'Security policy restricts use of POP/IMAP email'.  If I delete the Exchange email, the POP email will work.  Is it possible to have both an exchange email account and a POP email account in the stock email program?

If anyone else has issues or bugs, feel free to put them in here also (for all I care).

All things are good with Froyo except:

The phone rotates into landscape mode when the phone is moved but never rotates back to portrait mode. I've checked "automatic" in settings.

Also, initial setup through download zip from Samsung rendered my camera and Facebook apps into forced closings. Finally had to wipe the phone clean and start over - that fixed everything except the "rotation issue".

Sounds. Just noticed that I can't turn on any ringer or e-mail sounds, so I'm stuck on silent. Any attempt to change the sound settings through Settings--Sounds, e-mail, or gmail is met with a couple of vibrations and then a force close.

I had many of the same issues with 2 epics -1 was an OTA, the other used the zip.file. In both instances the problems were corrected by doing a complete wipe and a re-boot.

Good luck. Try it!

Good to know--thanks! I'll give that a shot. How does one do a full reboot on the Epic 4G?

Allshare seems to lose connection MUCH more often when streaming phone to TV. Anyone else see that? Does not matter if high def 1080 or lower res video.

The pull down tray has a silent option and the phone options also has an option for silent mode. Also notice in settings -> volume there are separate settings for incoming call, media, system, and notifications volume.

Anyone know how to fix #2 from the first post???

2. I've been waiting for this update so that I can get my work emails (exchange) on my phone.  First thing I did after the update (and hard reset) was to get my work email up and running. Works great!  Second thing I did was to get my personal (POP) email up and running. I have this exact same problem and it is incredibly frustrating. I asked my IT group about it today, and they have no idea what would cause it on their side, as there are many other users using Android based phones with no issues.

Just downloaded K-9 mail, and it works for my personal email, so at least there is a workaround. Though, annoying I now have to use two different email apps.  Angry

After the update my fun seems slower and when I open the keyboard my screen stays blank except for the 4 buttons on bottom.  Also when closing a program to go to home screen the home screen takes a little while to load, it doesn't do it all the time, but it has taken up to min for widgets and shortcuts to show up.  What causes this to happen?

And to the email thing.. I just typed in my email and was able to add all accounts, yahoo, gmail, hotmail and aol into the on app that came with phone

So my first post update problem has arrived. Had the update for over a week, and now gmail calendar sync only syncs some of the events that are on the calendar. They all used to be there (on the phone), but some have disappeared. They are still listed in the gmail calendar. I have a 3 week trip abroad in April and the only day that shows up on the phone calendar is the day i am returning. very curious. Test calendar entries i have sent for all of my gmail calendars, both directions, are showing up. Very curious.

trili7,
I had the same thing happen. I tried a number of things to try to fix the sync with no luck. (Sync off/on, re-save entries, etc. etc.)

I finally tried creating all new entries and they seem to sync OK. I believe I found I could create new ones from either the phone, Google, or Thunderbird and the new ones sync OK. I then deleted the old entries. We should not have to do that, but it was easier than wasting any more time. (Of course that depends on how many entries you have :-).

I dd the froyo update after a hard reset. Everything went fine without problems or issues.

The only issue is that the ringtone and notification sounds play very low. I can hardly hear them.
Anyone know a fix for this?
