I manually installed the official GB 2.3 update and all went okay but now the "Blue Notification Light" stays on no matter what's going with the phone until I touch the proximity sensor the it goes off for a while then comes back on. Has anyone else had this problem?

I manually installed, too, but have not had that specific problem.  The only problem (which might be just a change) that I've noted so far (6 hours or so since install) is that I can no longer long press my screen and get the add screen for themes, wallpaper, etc.  Not a big deal as it can be accessed from the menu, but it was a habit to access it that way.

The issue has been resolved, apparently if you have Handcent SMS installed and you have unread text messages in your private inbox(I didn't know I had any) then it will notify you that they are there, pretty cool after you figure it out I guess.  I couldn't figure why the light kept flashing, private messages didn't usually provoke a notification light response.  Now however the notification light does not flash it just a solid light now for notifications. I don't know how to fix that one and I've been through all the settings. I guess I can live with that, I'll just be happy I got 2.3 now that 4.0 is out. Way to go Samsung/Sprint whoever's at fault for bottle necking the update.

My issue since the update is the phone rebooting itself after about 10-15 minutes if I have GoogleMaps running and my Bluetooth headset connected.

It has happened almost every evening on my drive home from work.

Have you tried using a custom Rom? ThunderHawk EI22 3.1 Rom is quite nice(though it is missing lockscreen app) and there are a few other Roms that seem to be very stable for EI22. QbKing77 on youtube has great how to videos to help you achieve this if thats what your looking for.
