My local rep says Sprint says sometime in September. Personally, I am hoping for early rather than late.
I had 2.2 before I switched from my droid on Verizon. I miss it.

Better than the 'Not Possible' speculation that was going around prior to the release. I too would like sooner rather than later. Running the Vanilla launcher instead of Touchwiz trying to feel @ home with the GUI. All in all....GREAT PHONE!

According to a tweet from Samsung UK, ""The Froyo upgrade will be available in the UK from early November, and we expect all operator versions to be available by the end of November."

The article explained that some UK users downloaded the update from the Samsung servers before the update files were removed.  

As expected, the tweet was denied by the Samsung Mobile USA on Twitter stating "that tweet was from UK counterparts.  In the USA we are working with carrier partners to release Froyo this year."
