Thanks steveopia, never used the clock, so i did not think to look there for the alarm. I still had the old alarm icon on my home screen and it just said "app not installed" after the update. I will try it out.

You're welcome.

I miss the alarm clock - but now using Better Alarm. works well

Miss it?  I like the new one much better.  It's in the Clock app.  I apologize if you already knew this.  It just sounded like you thought it was gone.

After I updated and couldn't find my beloved "alarm clock" app I was quite pissed. I tried several free apps and couldn't find anything I liked. After buying one that wasn't as good, I found the alarm clock, timer, and stopwatch in the "clock" app. I now like the new one better than the old. Plus, I could delete the additional application I had for a stopwatch/timer.

I do not really have a need for World Clock but I'm sure it will be quite helpful for others who deal with people from around the country/world.

9) Contacts / Groups Tab: Instead of picking a group, all groups are listed in sections with group headers.

The ability to click multiple people from a drop down menu is finally here. Previously I had downloaded handcent for when I wanted to send texts out to a large number of people since default messaging required I type each name and select it from the populated list. I'm not yet sure if I like the bubble style chat but it sure makes it easier to try to forward a message.

Also noticed "My Files" which so far takes the place of Astro. Not sure if My Files used to be there or not but I like it so far.

Ok Im new to rooting, I understand the concept haven't done it yet.  Reading all I can before I try it.  I did however get  Dk28 version that is unofficial, and install it with success. It works great except I'm having sound issues like everybody else.  However all I have to do is reboot my phone and good for 4 hours. So far what I have read it look like I'm not going to get the OTA update to latest out. So I was wondering if someone could help, I figured that I'm probably going to have to download stock android files and use a program to flash the software to my phone.  Then the OTA will take over, or wait for manual update on here.  It would be big help if someone could give me a link  or point me in the right direction.  Some of the links on here to download stock files or other pieces of software I need to complete the job don't seem to work, or point me to a dead end.  I did find a link on here for the lastest EC05, I think it is but when I reboot and choose install from zip.  It gives me the following error: E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip (status 2) Installation aborted.  Which I'm guessing you can't go from  DK28 to EC05.  Please correct me if anything on here is wrong.  Any help from the experts would be greatly appreciated
