I didn't make any changes to the phone it just stopped on it's own. It still vibrates but no sound. The phone still rings, so I know it's not a problem with the sound. To fix the problem I have tried to reboot, removed the sd card and reinstalled it and have checked my settings yet none of these fixes have worked, any ideas? Then reset your sounds in settings and see if that fixes it. Use your pc to format the card and unselect "quick format" so it does a full format. I'm thinking sd card corruption. These steps usually correct that. I explained in my original post how I checked the settings (I reset the notification sound) and that didn't work...
