And my toddler keeps putting app shortcuts on the desktop. Can I remove the desktop icon without removing the app? Thanks Logged 426yankee Jr. Member Karma: +2/-0 Offline Posts: 50 Re: Remove Icons from Desktop « Reply #1 on: February 04, 2011, 06:13:03 PM » Hello, all you need to do is longpress whatever icon you want to remove, then drag it down to the trashcan that will appear at the bottom of the screen.  That removes the icon, but not the app.  And if your toddler is already putting apps on the phone, you better get busy saving for college, just kidding!
