I've read some threads most tell how to fix on a captivate or others but the epic doesn't have that setting. I like the tw launcher and don't want launcher pro I would just like my contacts icon back...really don't know where the heck it went lol...well I have an icon but it is missing from the dock...just a blank space is lft!

If you long press on the home screen, go to shortcuts and select contacts, it will place the icon on the home screen. I can not figure out how to get it into the dock from there,  since it does not show up in my applications list. If you can see it in your applications list, then select edit while in applications, and drag it down to the dock.

The chances of finding out what really is going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say hang the sense of it and just keep yourself occupied. DA HHGG

Go into your app drawer and scroll to the page with the contacts app.  Then select Menu->Edit and drag the Contacts app icon back to the dock.  You can change any of the three apps in the dock (Phone, Contacts, and Messaging) this way.  You could even put Angry Birds down there if you wanted.
