Can you tell me if there is an app that I can install free or paid that allows my notification light to turn different colors based on the message?  IE: FB is blue-fine  Message: Pink  Email : Red    Google or Yahoo Chat: Green

Only 2 colors i've seen are Red and Blue (FB) but the notification light doesn't blink for long. 

I tried downloading an app but that just put colored dots on my home screen... at that point i had to look at the phone anyway so I can just scroll the notification bar down.
I wanted to look at my phone when screen off to see what might have just come through.  Any help would be great.   (I did this with my blackberry)

Nope. There's only blue and red. Some apps like handcent if you choose green it will combine them and come out purple, but that's it.

i had an app that i got for free from the market or Chomp but i cant remember the name of it now! I had me led flashing 5 different colors, jus search the market for led personalization

Chomp SMS? Our led isn't capable of 5 colors, so I don't see how you managed that. The hardware for it just plain isn't even there.

The most our led can produce is red, pink, purple, and blue. From handcent or chomp SMS I've only ever seen red, purple, and blue work.
