Take notice of the missing front camera.  AT&T will only have video calls with the iPhone apparently.  We already knew it wouldn't have a light for the back 5MP camera.  But other than that, it's a good looking handset.  I'd like to know a little more about the software situation.  How much AT&T will lock it down.  Only time will tell.  I'm looking forward to the 29th to see what Samsung has to say in NYC.

I am pretty happy seeing this device finally announced, and it's definitely on the list of the handsets that I will probably get.  The Aria is a bit of a let down in horsepower, but there is at least one more HTC device coming to AT&T.

But if this phone is going to be the Epic 4G for the network, hopefully the firmwares will be compatible.

This won't be available where I live but something to think about if one is thinking about getting this is if AT&T will have their own firmware (seems common on branded phones). Both Singtel and Telco have their own firmware and there's been reports of lag in the phone on both of them, while there's been no such reports on brand-free models.

I haven't heard anything about any AT&T custom firmware that might cause a problem. In fact, it looks like this one is going to be considerably less locked down than the other, previous AT&T Android offerings. Signs point to Google services all the way instead of the switch to Yahoo, for example.
