Battery FAQs
This is a list of LI battery FAQs.

The chances of finding out what really is going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say hang the sense of it and just keep yourself occupied. DA HHGG

Thank you so much for this post.

So far I love my phone except of course since I use the "Hotspot" feature, the battery runs out quickly. I keep it plugged in, & charging nearly all the time.  This, of course defeats the purpose of having a MOBILE phone!

Am gonna read these FAQs right now, meanwhile I would like to ask if anyone has bought another separate battery for use after one starts to give out.  Some nights when we use the Hotspot for a couple of hours my battery is way low on energy, & I can't do anything else, except turn it off, plug it in and charge.

I might be able to make an emergency phone call but I would *never* feel I could check or write Email, browse the Net, or play a game.

Found an ad for a battery & wondered what you thought. Here's the link. I do not want to buy any "off" brands . The fact that it needs or comes with a new and separate back for the phone makes me wonder if it's not really suitable for it, or there will be inherent problems in it.

Thanks for any feedback you might have on this. Link below to the battery ad:

OK just read the material in the post.

That's very interesting that they find that turning off the Mobile Network and using Wi-Fi while at home drains the battery less.

I almost always have the sync features off, & only activate it for a moment every day or so.  But how do we turn off the MN?   By just enabling Wi-Fi?

3g/4g draws more because the modem has to scream for a signal if ur getting weak signal (or as signal fluctuates), if ur at a wifi connection with good signal its a constant high strength signal and data oriented processes can also be completed faster, which means less usage of the cpu and modem, which in turn means less battery drain

I use a widget /app -DCSwitch+widget. It puts a widget on the home screen that uses a tap to disable the 3Gsignal. I have not had a problem with it. I turn off the 3g most of the time when not using apps that need 3g access. It is also handy if you want to use an app that insists on streaming adds that use up the battery.
You can turn off the 4g in the pull down screen.
I used Juice Defender for a while, you could set an interval for 3g to be on to check for updates, but it really messed things up so i would not recommend it.
