I just got a 3500 battery from gorilla gadgets for 24.99 plus the back battery case. I'm glad I waited two months ago it was going for $90.  I broke the chain. I am off the charger for over 10hrs. When I got the new battery I completly drained it then charged it for a day. I have been up hill every since. The new case has a buldge but it starts to fit to your hand in no time....cause you have the juice.  This is definetly a go if anyone is interested.

What kind of battery chemistry is it? And by "drained it" do you mean until it could no long power the phone, or do you mean that it had no noticeable voltage?

Unlike NiCd cells, it's actually VERY BAD to completely discharge LiIon cells, and it WILL do permanent damage to them.

i got a yoobao battery on ebay and it is awesome, lasts beyond a day now even with heavy usage.  def recccommend it

Yeah I completely drained the Li Battery. Thanks for the heads up. But it has still been working extremely well for me thus far...
